Farmers' agitation: Supreme court statement on road jam during protest

New Delhi: The agitation of the farmers against the agricultural law brought by the central government continues continuously on the borders of Delhi. Meanwhile, the Supreme court on Friday said that traffic on public roads cannot be obstructed. The Supreme Court made this remark while hearing a petition by a Noida woman seeking to clear the road between Noida to Delhi.

A bench headed by Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul has said that "roads should not be blocked". The Supreme Court has also said that the petitioner is facing wrongful harassment and that the authorities involved in this case should make arrangements that the roads are clean. Earlier, the Supreme Court had issued a notice to the Center and the Delhi Police Commissioner on the petition of Monika Agarwal.

He has said in his petition that the journey from Noida to Delhi for which he used to take 20 minutes on mango and on, now takes 2 hours. During the hearing, the Supreme Court stated that "Public roads should not be obstructed, and this aspect has been repeatedly emphasized in the previous orders of this Court. The petitioners are single parents and so even if the roads remain closed" So this is harassment with them"
