In the Indian state of Odisha, the Supreme Court will hear tomorrow on 4 petitions seeking some changes in the Supreme Court's June 18 order prohibiting the Rath Yatra in Puri and elsewhere. Petitions filed seeking the continuation of Lord Jagannath's rath yatra will be heard in the Supreme Court on Monday. A total of 4 petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court to remove the ban on Lord Jagannath's Rath Yatra in Puri.

The petition filed says that Lord Jagannath's Rath Yatra is a centuries-old tradition, in which millions of people have faith. The petitioner has demanded that Puri's main rath yatra be allowed to be taken out. Not only 500-600 people should be allowed to travel and worship for lakhs of people, who will take full care of rescue guidelines and physical distance in view of Corona crisis.

The total number of coronavirus cases in the country has reached 4 lakh 10 thousand 461. Of this, 2,27,755 people have been cured, 1,69,451 are active cases, while a total of 13,254 people have lost their lives.
