Jai Bhim, Suriya most recently won the Best Actor title. The actor honored his cherished wife Jyotika in his acceptance speech.

The award for Best Actor was recently given to actor Suriya, who is now busy filming for his upcoming Tamil movie Kanguva. Suriya won this award for his role in the critically acclaimed movie Jai Bhim, a courtroom drama that is based on actual events. Suriya thanked his wife Jyotika for allowing him to act as she cares for the family during his award speech. The actor expressed thanks in his victory speech and thanked his wife Jyotika for always being there for him. A courtroom drama movie called Jai Bhim was based on a true incident.

Many honors, including those for best actor and best picture, were given to Suriya's Jai Bhim at the Vikatan Awards. In his victory speech, Suriya acknowledged many of the people he worked with on the movie. Then, he mentioned his wife and stated, "This honor is in honor of my wife Jyotika. She is the one making all the sacrifices, caring for the children while allowing me to perform." He added that his wife Jyotika would be a part of whatever happened in his life.

TJ Gnanavel directed the courtroom drama film Jai Bhim. Suriya played Chandru, a real-life lawyer, in the film, which dealt with caste-based prejudice. Chandru was a lawyer who spent his entire life standing out for the weak and oppressed. However, he never requested payment from his clients, who were all struggling to make ends meet. The sequel to the film is reportedly also in production. In the Vikatan Awards, Jai Bhim won for best supporting actress, best actress, best actor, best director, and best picture.

Rajasekar Pandian, the movie's producer, has stated that the sequel is currently in the concept stage. Pandian confirmed the sequel concept in an interview  “Yes, Jai Bhim 2 is definitely happening as I confirmed at the film festival. We (2D Entertainment) are making a film with TJ Gnanavel next - but that is a different script. Once he wraps up this project, we will work on Jai Bhim 2. Currently, Jai Bhim sequel is only in the ideation stage. It needs a lot of preparation and research. And there are a lot of stories about Justice Chandru that need to be told,” he was quoted in the report.
