Thieves have now stolen the entire train engine by making a tunnel. According to the police, the bags seized from a scrap shop in Muzaffarpur were filled with engine parts of the train.

According to the police, a gang had stolen the entire diesel engine of a train that was brought for repair at Garhara yard in Barauni (Begusarai district) last week. The gang achieved this by stealing parts a few at a time. The first discovery was made when the police arrested 3 persons and on the basis of their information, they seized 13 gunny bags of engine parts from a scrap godown located at Prabhat Colony, Muzaffarpur. A senior police officer said that the shocking thing was that we found a tunnel near the yard through which thieves used to come and steal the engine parts and carry them away in gunny bags. Railway officials were completely unaware of this.
