In the case of the death of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, his girlfriend and actress Rhea Chakraborty has been alleged by Rajput's family. Rhea Chakraborty has filed a petition in the Supreme Court, in which she has demanded the transfer of FIR registered in Bihar to Mumbai. This information was given by advocate of the actress Satish Manshinde. KK Singh, father of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and her family at Rajiv Nagar police station in Patna. Bihar Police have now reached Mumbai to investigate the case.

It has been said in the petition that the FIR registered in Bihar should be investigated and transferred to Mumbai, where inspection is already going on in this case. Police in two places cannot investigate a case. Manshinde said in his statement that when the investigation is already going on in Mumbai, and people have full information about it, then it is illegal to file a case in Bihar, and the old decisions of the Supreme Court is ignored. There are many decisions of the Supreme Court, in which the FIRs registered in several states in the same case have been transferred to the police of the state who started the investigation first.

On 14 June 2020, actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra home. He had committed suicide by hanging in his house. However, the police did not find any suicide note with him. The investigation of the Mumbai Police is going on continuously in this case. 40 people including Rajput's family members, cooks, Bollywood celebrities film critic Rajeev Masand, actress Sanjana Sanghi, his female friend Rhea Chakraborty, casting director Shanu Sharma, filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra and Yash Raj's Aditya Chopra has been interrogated.
