Patna: BJP's Rajya Sabha MP and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi raised the issue of railway recruitment in Parliament on Tuesday. He supported the agitation by over 1.35 crore students of Railway Recruitment Board and NTPC in the wake of Zero Hour in the Rajya Sabha and appealed to the Central Government to fulfil their demand.
He said, 'Due to the zero hour in Rajya Sabha, appealed to the Ministry of Railways to announce only one examination of Railway Group-D and 3.5 lakh additional results for NTPC without waiting for the report of the committee.' Sushil Modi demanded that one examination should be taken instead of two of Group D and the result of 3.5 lakh students appearing in the NTPC examination should be declared so that the result can be declared 20 times as announced by the government.
He said that a provision was made in 2019 to take the first examination of Group D, but suddenly on January 24, it was announced to take two examinations. Similarly, the result of NTPC was published 11 times instead of 20 times. Each student's name is included in three places. Let us tell you that there was a lot of uproar in Bihar in the past regarding the RRB NTPC exam. In view of the fierce performance of the students, the Railways has constituted a high-level committee. This committee reached Patna on Wednesday and met the students and sought suggestions.
