Sushma Swaraj holds bilateral talks with Jordan King

Delhi: External Affair minister Sushma Swaraj called on His Majesty KingAbdullahII Ibn Al Hussein, King of Jordan for strengthening ties between both nations across all sectors, especially in trade & investment, defense & security, tourism and people-to-people exchanges.

King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived in India and warmly received at the airport by PM Narendra Modi.

 EAM Raveesh Kumar took his twitter handle and said, “Historical links getting stronger! EAM @SushmaSwaraj calls on His Majesty @KingAbdullahII Ibn Al Hussein, King of #Jordan. Good conversation on strengthening ties across all sectors,  specially  in trade & investment,  defence  & security, tourism and people-to-people exchanges,” he tweeted

His Majesty King Abdullah began a state visit to India on Tuesday, during which he will also meet with President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and a number of senior officials.

King Abdullah’s meetings in New Delhi will cover means to bolster Jordanian-Indian relations in economic, commercial, and investment fields, as well as current regional and international developments.

During the visit, His Majesty is scheduled to participate in a session titled “Islamic Heritage: Promoting Harmony and Coexistence” and deliver his address there.

The King is also to attend the Jordanian-Indian Business Forum, in which businesspeople, investors, and company representatives from the two countries are participating.
