LUCKNOW: The rebellion in the Samajwadi Party (SP) is intensifying. Pramod Maurya, the nephew of Swami Prasad Maurya, who has now left the BJP and joined the SP amid Shivpal Yadav and Azam Khan's rebellion, has also resigned from Akhilesh's party. Sp state secretary Pramod Maurya has levelled several allegations in his resignation letter to party chief Akhilesh Yadav. He has alleged that Maurya, Kushwaha, Shakya, Saini and the society were neglected in the SP.
In such a situation, now a question is also being raised that will Swami Prasad Maurya also withdraw from Akhilesh Yadav? Pramod Maurya, who was the former Zila panchayat president of Pratapgarh, had quit the BJP in February 2018 and joined the SP. While joining the SP, Pramod Maurya had also claimed that Swami Prasad Maurya had joined the SP. Pramod's claim took time to come true, but Swami Prasad Maurya left the BJP before the assembly elections and rode on the SP's bicycle.
Swami Prasad Maurya, who had defected to the SP by claiming to have merged the BJP into the soil, could not even win his seat. He suffered a crushing defeat from Fazilnagar.
