Maliwal has demanded from the Prime Minister that the Disha Act be implemented in the whole country with immediate effect.

At the same time, it is also being said that the Andhra Pradesh government has implemented Disha Act in the state for hearing of sexual offences and acid attack cases. Swati Maliwal, president of Delhi Mahila Aayog, says that even before sitting on a fast, she had written a letter demanding immediate action on specific demands but regretted that the Prime Minister did not respond to it. At the same time, the Andhra Pradesh government implemented this law within a few days. The central government should implement it in the whole country. In the last 12 days, the weight of Maliwal has reduced by eight kilograms. Even in spite of extreme physical pain, Maliwal warned in his letter not to break the fast until Disha law is implemented.
