Ahmadabad: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, inaugurated the highest national flag, standing at a majestic height of 418 feet, at the Attari-Wagah border in Punjab's Amritsar. This significant event, marked by patriotism and pride, was attended by Punjab's Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann, along with other dignitaries.

For Nitin Gadkari, this moment held a special place in his heart, as it was his first visit to the Wagah border. He expressed his emotions, saying, "It is the golden day of my life. I have come to the Attari-Wagah border for the first time." The initiative to install the tallest national flag at this iconic border crossing was carried out by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).

 

Nitin Gadkari's exhilaration was evident as he marveled at the monumental flag and its symbolism. He commended the NHAI for this remarkable feat and shared his thoughts, "NHAI has installed the tallest national flag here. This is a place that inspires you to be patriotic. I have done a lot of things in life - tunnels, bridges, but this is the most amazing."

Moreover, the Union Minister expressed his gratitude and respect for the brave soldiers who stand guard at the borders, protecting the nation. He extended his thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his presence at the event, making it even more special.
