In March, the case of cancellation of visas of foreigners joining the program of Tablighi Jamaat was hot. 34 foreigners participating in the Tablighi Jamaat program have challenged the order of cancellation of Visa and blacklisting. With which these people have sought permission to go back home. The court has asked them to give a copy of the petition to the Center. Now the matter will be heard again on Monday.

A ban of 10 years has been imposed on 2500 foreign nationals joining the Tablighi Jamaat. Many of these foreign nationals had already been blacklisted. They all came to India on a tourist visa.

Cases of coronavirus were continuously coming up in the country in March. Then the people of Tablighi Jamaat gathered in large numbers in Nizamuddin, Delhi. Because of them, the coronavirus had spread in large numbers among others as well. The union home ministry blacklisted 960 foreign nationals of Tablighi Jamaat in April. Their visas were cancelled. The Home Ministry had asked the Delhi Police and the police of other states to take action against the foreign nationals living in their respective areas under the Disaster Management Act and the Foreign Citizens Act. Home Ministry had given information about this action by tweeting.
