Vijay Shankar of Indian origin may become judge of US Supreme Court

Washington: President of Donald Trump has expressed his intention to nominate Vijay Shankar of Indian origin for the post of Justice in the Supreme Court in the country's capital. If the Senate confirms Shankar's name, he will serve as an associate judge in the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.

It is noteworthy that the District Court of Appeals (DC Court of Appeals) is the Supreme Court for Washington DC. Vijay Shankar is currently holding the post of Senior Prosecuting Attorney and Deputy Chief of Appeal Section in the Crime Branch of the Department of Justice. While prior to becoming part of the Department of Justice in 2012, Shankar has been a personal advocate in Washington DC, Mayor Brown's Office, LLC & Covington & Burling, LLP.

Let us tell you that Vijay Shankar obtained a BA degree from Duke University and a JD degree from School of Law of Virginia University. After which the President of America has expressed his intention to nominate him as a judge in the Supreme Court of the country's capital. Explain that if Vijay Shankar is made a judge of the Supreme Court of America, then it will be a matter of great respect for India.
