Men in blue will look to extend their winning streak in African soil, as they will take on mighty Proteas in their upcoming tour starting from January 5. India have played 17 Test matches against South Africa in Proteas home soil, winning two and losing on eight occasions, ending seven in draws.

The tour will begin with the Test match in Cape Town. Team India will feature in 3 Tests, six ODIs and 3 T20Is. To note, India have a decent run at home after they defeated Sri Lanka on their own soil in all 3 formats. Later they registerd a 2-1 win in ODIs, followed by a clean sweep in three-match T20Is. On the other hand, South Africa dominated Zimbabwe in the inaugural Day/Night (D/N) four-day Test match to win it by an innings and 120 runs in just two days.
