Kabul: Militants have intensified attacks in Afghanistan amid the withdrawal of US troops. Hundreds of people and children have been killed so far in the attacks that have been going on continuously for the past several days. The Taliban, an Islamic organisation that killed more than 60 people in a serial blast outside a girls' school in Kabul a day ago, has declared a three-day ceasefire in the wake of Eid. The Taliban has said that it will not kill people for the next three days of Eid.
Taliban spokesman Mohammad Naeem said, "The Mujahideen has been asked to stop all operations against its enemies for three days in view of Eid. The campaign will not be carried out for three days in view of Eid across the country". Taliban spokesman Mohammad Naeem has said, "Eid should be celebrated peacefully across the country, so the Mujahideen has been asked to create an atmosphere for three days of Eid in which Eid can be celebrated peacefully".
At the same time, the Taliban spokesman said, "The Mujahideen have been asked to maintain peace a day before Eid, on the day of Eid and a day after Eid and not to attack enemies across the country". Just a day earlier, the Islamic organization Taliban carried out serial bomb blasts outside a girls' school in Kabul, killing 63 people. Most of the dead were girls who were on their way back home from school. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has strongly condemned the bomb blast and termed it as against humanity.
