Kabul: The 'Karta Parwan Gurudwara' in Kabul, Afghanistan, was attacked by the Taliban on Tuesday afternoon (October 5, 2021). According to reports, the armed Taliban detained several people, including guards, here. The Taliban also smashed the CCTV camera installed on the premises. Then they left.

According to reports, 15-16 armed unidentified persons entered the gurudwara this afternoon. The men tied the hands and feet of three Muslim guards and took them captive. They also broke CCTV while going out of the gurudwara. The local administration has been informed about it. The matter is under investigation. Earlier, India World Forum President Puneet Singh Chandok said that armed Taliban officers were filed in the Gurudwara.

He says the Taliban have disrespected and damaged our holy place. He has appealed to PM Narendra Modi and the External Affairs Ministry to intervene in the matter. They have demanded that the safety of Hindus and Sikhs be ensured in the country. The Parwan Gurudwara in Kabul is where Guru Nanak Dev Ji of sikhs came. The gurudwara became a haven for Sikhs and Hindus after the Taliban rule. During that time, the Taliban had assured these people would be protected.
