Legendary Tamil actor Vivek, known for films such as Runn, Anniyan and Sivaji, has suffered a heart attack and his condition is critical. He has been admitted to a hospital in Chennai after he complained of chest pain.
Vivek’s spokesperson informed the media that his health has improved since morning. “Vivek fainted today morning while he was talking with his family. Later, he was rushed to the SIMS hospital in Vadapalani. I spoke with him. He is conscious and will gain good health soon. The doctors will perform an angiogram on him,” said PRO Nikhil Murugan.
The actor was recently vaccinated for Covid-19 on April 15. The 59-year-old actor made headlines on Thursday for his endeavour to remove the fear of vaccination among the public. Instead of going to a private hospital, he chose to get vaccinated at a government hospital to spread awareness.
He had spoken about why he chose a government hospital over a private hospital for the vaccination purpose. He had said, “I want to make a point that the Covid-19 vaccine is safe. It doesn’t mean we will not get Covid-19 if we get vaccinated. We should be careful. The vaccine assures that we don’t get affected severely.”
