Tamil Nadu state has reported 1,721 new cases and the active cases goes below 16000 the exact count is 15,765. The state capital has reported 497 new cases lesser than 500. Total number of discharges were 2,384 increasing the recovery tally to 7,32,656. In the last 24 hours, ending at 6 PM 63,777 new samples has been taken for testing. State's total corona positive stands at 7,59,916. With 17 deaths in last 24 hours, total death toll; raised to 11,495.
Mizoram's state has recorded the death of a 79 year old man increasing the count to 5 at the Zoram Medical College (ZMC), an official said.
Another sister state, Assam recorded 186 new covid 19 cases increasing the tally to 2,10,454. Today 405 patients were discharged increasing the recovery number to 2,06,041. The total active cases stands at 3446.
One more sister state Nagaland crossed 10000 mark today. 140 people tested positive on Monday, 46 recovered and discharged taking the total number of recoveries to 8,860. The caseload now is 10,025 with active cases being 1,009.
