The box-office has witnessed a buge clash between Rajinikanth's Petta and Thala Ajith's Viswasam, Talking about tamil box-office, Viswasam turned out to be the first choice for the Tamil audiences over  Petta at the box office. The collections of two big Pongal releases Petta and Viswasam, the Siva directorial venture has grossed Rs 125 crore in 8 days while the Karthik Subbaraj's film entered Rs 100 crore.

Notable business analyst shared the Tamil box-office collection of the Two big movies via his Tweeter account. Talking about overseas business, Rajinikanth's Petta has performed better than Viswasam in the international circuits.

Thala Ajith's Viswasam features Nayanthara opposite Thala Ajith. The film marks the fourth collaboration between the director and Ajith after Vedhalam, Veeram and Vivegam. It also stars Vivek, Thambi Ramaiah, Yogi Babu, Bose Venkat and Kovai Sarala in pivotal roles. Thala Ajith will soon start the shooting of Amitabh's Pink remake. The film will be directed by Vinoth and will be produecd by Boney Kapoor.
