Chennai: Assembly elections are due in Tamil Nadu on 6 April. Former President of this Central Congress Rahul Gandhi is on a three-day visit to the state. On Sunday, Rahul Gandhi arrived at the Arulmigu Nellaiappar temple in Tirunelveli, where he worshiped. The Pandit of the temple made Rahul wear a ritual and performed obeisance. At the same time, most of the people appeared in the temple wearing masks. Even Pandit had put on a mask.

In addition, Rahul Gandhi's convoy stopped at a stall in Tirunelveli, where he discussed with the coconut seller. Rahul Gandhi says that he is deeply saddened by the Tamil Nadu CM as he has surrendered instead of standing against Narendra Modi and asking questions. The only reason for surrender is that CM Palaniswami is corrupt and Narendra Modi has ED, CBI, and other institutions. Earlier on Saturday, Rahul Gandhi also strongly attacked PM Narendra Modi over the deadlock on the China-India border and while trying to establish an emotional connection with the citizens of Tamil Nadu, he said that he was only respectful to the people of the state and Want to develop a love-based relationship.

Gandhi described himself as 'honest' and said that this is the reason why PM Modi "cannot tighten my grip on me" and continues to target. Due to the mass media celebrations at different places in the cities of Tuticorin and Tirunelveli, the Congress leader missed no opportunity to target Modi and accused the AIADMK government of corruption in the state.
