Chennai: Campaigns are being carried out across the country to prevent corona infection from spreading. Different states have adopted several ways to prevent infection. Meanwhile, the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu has extended the curfew period till April 30. According to a state-issued directive, it states that people follow the corona protocol. At the same time, the ban on international flights has been extended. The guidelines issued by the state have instructed the district administration to increase corona testing.

It is noteworthy that corona infections in the country are growing at a dangerous pace. More than 50,000 corona cases have been reported for the seventh consecutive day. Not only that, for the first time since December 16, more than 350 infected patients have died in a day. According to the latest report released by the Health Ministry, 53,480 new corona cases have been registered and 354 people have died in the past 24 hours. However, 41,280 people have also recovered from the corona.

According to a provisional report released by the ministry, 6,24,08,333 doses of corona vaccine have been given till 7 pm Tuesday. According to the report, 82,00,007 health workers have been given the first dose of the vaccine while 52,07,368 health workers have been given the second dose of the vaccine.
