Chennai: Chinese President Xi Jinping has reached India. He will stay at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai. Meanwhile, five Tibetans protesting Jinping's tour of India outside the hotel have been arrested by the police. Prior to Xi Jinping's visit to India, some Tibetans staged a massive protest in Chennai. After which the police took action and detained five Tibetans. All gathered there to oppose Xi Jinping.

It is noteworthy that Chinese President Xi Jinping will stay in India from 11-12 October. During this time, Jinping will hold his second informal summit with PM Narendra Modi in Mahabalipuram in Tamil Nadu. The Ministry of External Affairs has issued a statement saying that at the invitation of PM Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Chennai in India on October 11-12 for the second informal summit.
