In August this year, Tata Motors is going to introduce the all-black edition of its compact SUV Harrier. The company has announced a special edition at the 74th Annual General Meeting of Tata Motors in Mumbai, while several strategic announcements have been made for the future. The Tata Harrier's all-black version is expected to be launched in mid-August. This will include a black paint scheme, black alloy wheels, fox skid plates and a grey finish on Chrome. In addition, the interior will continue with the company's all-black treatment and will feature new seat upholstery and remove wood work and give gloss black editions and grey accents. Let's know the full details

According to media reports, the Special Edition was announced by the company just weeks before the launch of Kia Seltos. Seltos is going to be launched in India on August 22. Tata Harrier is being updated for the second time in India since its launch in January. The company has earlier launched a dual-tone version in the top trims of the SUV.

No mechanical changes will be made to Tata Harrier except for the All-Black Cosmic Upgrade. As a feature list, it comes with a touchscreen infotainment system that is equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It also includes semi-digital instrument consoles, LED daytime running lights with projector headlamps, LED taillights and more. The Tata Harrier features a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine with 138bhp and 350Nm of torque. The motor is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The carmaker is also currently working on the BS6 version and will soon include the electric sunroof and a new 6-speed automatic transmission that will be Hyundai. The company is also working on Tata Buzzard, a 7-seater version and was introduced at the Motor Geneva Show earlier this year.
