India's renowned automobile manufacturer Tata Motors has displayed the Group's wholesale sales figures for the first quarter of the financial year 2020-21. In the quarter ended June 30, 2020, Tata Motors Group is currently selling 91,594 units including Jaguar Land Rover. Also, during April to June 2019, this figure was present with a decline of 64 percent. In fact, in the last quarter of FY 2020, during January to March 2020, the company sold a total of 2,31,929 units which was 60 percent more than the vehicles sold in April to June 2020.

The massive decline was a result of the coronavirus epidemic and its resulting lockdown, which forced Tata Motors to suspend production operations for the entire month of April and also partially in May. In the global retail sales of all passenger vehicles in the first quarter of FY 2021, the company sold 79,996 units, which is 49% less than the same quarter of the previous financial year.

Tata Motors sold 14,571 units of standalone passenger vehicles, down by 61 percent as compared to 36,945 units in the same period last year. Also, when it comes to global retail sales, Jaguar Land Rover sales were 65,425 units in the first quarter of FY2021. Including CJLR's sales of 16,513 units, the same is a common product of JLR and Chery Automobiles. At the same time, Jaguar's Khudra sales stood at 17,971 vehicles in the first quarter. Apart from this, the sale of Land Rover has been 47,454 units.
