The most awaited event, the 2020 American Music Awards were held in Los Angeles. Big music personalities were welcomed on the red carpet of AMAs. The singer Taylor Swift won three awards but couldn't appear at the event in person.

The 30-year-old entertainer appeared virtually where she gave her acceptance speech for Artist of the Year during the event on November 22. She revealed that she was speaking from the recording studio and thanked her fans saying, “The reason I’m not there tonight is because I’m re-recording all of my old music." Taylor won three awards which were Artist of the Year, Favorite Female Artist – Pop/Rock, and Favorite Music Video for Cardigan. She also talked about re-recording her old music and the recent drama that went down between Scooter Braun and the pop singer. She said she even essayed a letter through social media to her beloved fans explaining her side of the story.

She revealed that the past year she has been actively trying to regain ownership of her master recordings. With that goal in mind, her team attempted to enter into negotiations with Scooter Braun. She made the deal but also learned that under their terms Scooter Braun will continue to profit off my old musical catalog for many years. She was hopeful and opens to the possibility of a partnership with Shamrock, but Scooter’s participation is a non-starter for her. She now has begun re-recording her older music and has already proven to be both exciting and creative.
