The two government schools in Himachal's district Chamba are supported by regular teachers and 142 schools with only one teacher each. Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj gave this information on the questions of MLA Pawan Nair and Asha Kumari. He said that teachers have been sent on deputation to these two schools. Apart from this, more teachers can be deployed in schools with single teachers. He said that teachers will be rationalized in the state soon. Along with this, teachers will be deployed according to the number of students.

It is difficult to send teachers to schools in remote areas of Chamba, Sirmaur, and Shimla. The government is trying to fill the vacant posts in such schools. On this, MLA Asha Kumari questioned that studies are more affected due to every appointment. Teachers do not attend school.

Along with this, on the question related to the shortage of teachers in Drang Assembly constituency, Suresh Bhardwaj said that the speed with which the former government opened schools in Drang, did not recruit teachers on the lines. On the question of MLA Jawahar Thakur, the minister said that 736 posts have been approved in his constituency, while 118 are vacant. The recruitment process is on.
