Nellore: (NIEA) An earlier report that was taking a toll on teaching activity in government schools in the country, the same scenario is now in Andhra Pradesh where teachers are spending more on activities other than instructional related activities.They are spending on monitoring the status of infrastructure facilities like distribution of food items, ration, water supply, sanitation and data uploading activities. Ultimately they are being harassed by activities other than instruction related activities and the administration is also putting the workload for consolidation through apps and websites. It has been visible since the start of the pandemic.

As part of the academic activity, teachers of all these government schools are now focusing on distribution of textbooks, notebooks, bags, shoes and socks, belts and dictionaries. For food assistance, teachers monitor financial assistance of Rs 15,000, mid-day meal, eggs, and week-long menu, proper implementation of chikki, and distribution of rice in case of holidays or non-working days. Teachers or Headmasters should upload the picture of the complete plate of food items being supplied to the children, individual food items prepared, drinking water and sanitary condition in the school premises without any lapse.
