Auckland: In the last match of the five-match T20 series between India and New Zealand, Team India has made history by defeating New Zealand by 7 runs. The Indian team won the series 5–0. With this, the Indian team has created history. The Indian team has become the first team to name win all matches of the five-match T20 series, no team could do this miracle before Team India.

Team India has never won a T20 series in New Zealand with a clean sweep till date, in such a situation, Team India went on a tour to New Zealand under the leadership of Virat Kohli. New Zealand had a poor start to chase the 164-run target from India. The bowlers of the Indian team brought New Zealand under pressure by sending three New Zealand batsmen to the pavilion in the first four overs.

In the match for New Zealand, Tim Seifert and Ross Taylor tried to handle the innings. Both batsmen shared 99 runs for the fifth wicket. However, Navdeep Saini dismissed Tim Seifert (50) and Ross Taylor (53) to bring India back into the match. In this match, Bumrah took the maximum 3 wickets from Team India. Apart from them Navdeep and Shardul took 2–2 wickets, while Washington Sundar got one wicket.
