Sydney: Team India were 206 for 3 at lunch on Monday, the fifth and final day of the third cricket Test against Australia. At lunch, Rishabh Pant 73 while Cheteshwar Pujara was playing 41 runs. Chasing a target of 407 runs in Australia, India still need 201 runs to win. The Indian batsmen have to score runs at the rate of three runs per over while keeping their wickets afloat. Now it is on the Indian players that they win the match or draw. In both situations, though it will be a historical situation.

India's No. 3 batsman Cheteshwar Pujara 41 and wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant are on the crease with 73 runs at lunch. Pujara has planted five fours while facing 147 balls while playing according to his nature and style, while Pant has planted 8 fours and 3 sixes on 97 balls in his innings. The two have so far shared 104 runs for the fourth wicket. On the fifth day, India lost the wicket of captain Ajinkya Rahane (4). Rahane could not add a single run to his personal score yesterday and on a total of 102, Nathan Lion's ball was taken to the hands of captain Tim Penn behind the wicket. Rahane faced 18 balls.

India were 98 for 2 wickets at the loss of two wickets at the end of the fourth day. Cheteshwar Pujara 9 and Captain Ajinkya Rahane returned unbeaten at four runs. India lost the wickets of both their opener-Rohit Sharma (52) and Shubman Gill (31) in the last session. Rohit was run by Pat Cummins and Gill by Josh Hazlewood. The two added 71 runs to the biggest ever partnership for India in the series for the first wicket.
