Uttarakhand: Leopard attacked girl lying in veranda

Dehradun: In Kirtinagar, Tehri city in Uttarakhand, a girl lying in the verandah of the house on Friday fell prey to a leopard. In front of Maletha petrol pump, three sisters Rekha, Geeta and Durga Negi used to live together. Durga was lying outside in the verandah at around 10.30 pm on Friday night. The other two sisters were inside the house.

A leopard reached there and attacked Durga Negi, and took her along. Due to the commotion of the villagers, Leopard ran away leaving the dead body of Durga near the canal at the edge of the field. The corpse has been kept in the mortuary of the hospital. 

On the other hand, the graph of cases of corona in the state is increasing day by day. On Friday, 278 new infected patients were found. The number of infected patients in the state has reached 8901. 10 corona infected patients have died in the state today. Four infected in Doon Medical College, three in AIIMS Rishikesh and three in Sushila Tiwari Medical College Haldwani. So far 112 infected people have died in the state. However, there are 3020 active cases.
