Patna: Bihar's main opposition party RJD on Friday demanded immediate release of politicians who have served more than 14 years in jail. In Bihar Assembly, a attention was brought to the bihar assembly by mlAs of RJD and other opposition parties including Chetan Anand for the immediate release of politicians who had served more than 14 years in jail on Friday. Anand's father Anand Mohan Singh was sentenced to death in the murder case which was later commuted to life imprisonment.
Later, during a media interaction with Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav in bihar assembly premises, Chetan said, "I raised this issue as a member of the House and a member of a victim's family. Chetan said, "The reply to my request by the Minister-in-charge clearly shows that the government has no intention of releasing such prisoners. I had raised this issue not only for my father but also for the bail of several other persons including Rajendra Yadav in the House. "
Tell me, Rajendra Yadav is a former MLA from RJD from Attari in Gaya who has been convicted for the murder of a JDU worker who was taking out a victory procession after winning the seat in February 2005. Leader of opposition Tejashwi Yadav accused CM Nitish Kumar of not releasing such leaders belonging to opposition parties under political malice and said his reluctance to release Anand Mohan and Rajendra Yadav is motivated by politics. He also alleged that the nephew of an outgoing Minister has not yet been arrested even after his name came up in a murder about a month ago. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav later discussed a murder case related to Purnia district due to a press conference at the state headquarters in Patna.
