Patna: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today released its manifesto (Roadmap for Self-Reliant Bihar 2020-25) for the Bihar assembly elections. In this manifesto, the party has said that the coronavirus vaccine will be given free of cost to all the people of Bihar if they come to power. Following this promise, the opposition parties have raised a number of questions.
Reversing this, RJD leader Tejasvi Yadav said that corona vaccine is for all over the country, not only for BJP. "You vote me I vaccinate you," and he asked the Election Commission to take cognisance. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has also tweeted and attacked the BJP. On Tharoor's tweet, BJP leader Bhupendra Yadav said the Finance Minister's statement was being distorted. All parties issue manifestos. Vaccines will be provided to all Indians at a nominal cost. States can make it free of cost. In Bihar, we will.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman issued the BJP's resolution which has been renamed as 'Roadmap for Self-Reliant Bihar 2020-25'. BJP general secretary Bhupendra Yadav, Union Ministers Ashwani Choubey, Nityananda Rai, BJP State President Sanjay Jaiswal and several major leaders were present.
