Tejasvi Yadav wrote on his Twitter handle, "Today I am remembering his statement on the birthday of respected father. The struggle will be prolonged, the test will be tough. Do not panic, we have to fight for the development of Bihar and the happiness of the poor. We have done social justice, now you should do economic justice. Do not worry if our happiness is sacrificed. ''

Tejaswi wrote in his letter : -

"Dear Biharis,

Today I have come to Ranchi to meet my father on his incarnation day. Different types of emotions are coming to mind on his birthday. The mind is a little distressed that he is struggling alone away from us, and also a little stronger because his birthday inspires me more. Like him, the fight for the poor, the exploited, the oppressed, the neglected, and the deprived, without compromising the principles.

Whenever I look at the journey of my father's life, it seems amazing and rare. Respected Lalu ji, fought against high and low, ending all social anomalies of Bihar. Raised the flag of the rights of the poor and no matter how odd the situation came, never bowed down, never compromised his principles.

Odd situations break the good, forcing conspiracy and surrender. Years of propaganda takes away the confidence of human beings, but it is also exemplary that even odd circumstances, countless conspiracies and persistent propaganda did not break Lalu ji's spirits, bending his principles, could not stop his steps devoted to public service but only strengthened their spirits.

They are fighting even today, without being weary, without bending and I am proud that I have also become a part of this fight for the rights of the people of Bihar, so today on my birthday I pledge that Bihar I will provide justice to the youth and the poor in every situation. Just…. Enough of casteism, communalism, death due to dislocation spread during much of the illness, very poor people have hunger for bread, they have left our youth unemployed, they have suffered a lot from our brothers, their families. The pain of migration, misrule took away many lives, Bihari, who has been very disturbed on the streets. The government, while ruling for 15 years, broke a lot on others. I will not let them anymore. I will no longer lose my life through starvation, crime, disorder, injustice.

Today, on Father's 73rd birthday, we will feed at least 73000 poor people, remove worries from their foreheads and then get Bihar out of this difficult time with the inspiration of father. With the inspiration of Lalu ji, the steps which have been taken for the service of Bihar, those steps will not stop, never get tired. ''
