Hyderabad: Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao has made a big announcement for the families of farmers killed amid farmers' agitation. Telangana CM KCR has announced that a compensation of Rs 3 lakh is going to be paid to the families of each farmer killed amid farmers' demonstrations. He has also requested the Central Government unconditionally to provide assistance of Rs. 25 lakh each to all such affected families. Chandrashekhar Rao's son KTR has tweeted informing about this decision
He has said that the Telangana government has decided to help the families of more than 750 farmers who lost their lives while fighting against agricultural laws. Minister KTR in the Telangana government has said that the central government should also withdraw the cases registered against all farmers unconditionally.
Earlier, the BJP MP has written to PM Narendra Modi on the issue. They have demanded compensation of Rs 1 crore each for the families of farmers killed in the farmers' agitation. The Punjab government has already announced a number of assistance for the affected farmer families. This demand may take a toll after the announcement of the KCR. Farmer leaders are also going to demand the help of such families. The issue of compensation to the families of farmers killed in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh in view of the upcoming assembly elections could further flare-up. The United Kisan Morcha has already demanded the withdrawal of all cases against farmers.
