Hyderabad: 5,926 new cases of covid-19 epidemic have been reported in Telangana, the highest ever reported in a day in the state. More than 3.61 lakh people have been infected with the virus in the state so far. With the death toll of 18 more people due to infection, the death toll has gone up to 1856.
According to a bulletin issued by the government, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has registered the highest number of 793 new cases till 8 pm on April 19, 488 in Medchal Malkajgiri and 455 in Rangareddy. A total of 3,61,359 people have been confirmed to be infected with corona in the state so far. 2,029 patients have been free from infection in a day in the State. A total of 3,16,650 people have been free from infection in the state so far.
42,853 people are undergoing treatment in the state. More than 1.22 lakh samples were examined on Monday. According to the bulletin, more than 1.19 crore samples have been tested in the state so far.
