The Dasara festival in Telangana city seems to be low on Sunday. The common festival of Dasara Navratri has decreased due to the corona infection every year. People will be reduced to festive season celebrations this year for corona infection and for their family and self-security. From shopping for the festival to visiting temples, there were no common scenes as many citizens preferred to celebrate the festival with low key. While the shopping scene is better than the last two weeks in the general markets like Malls and Sultan Bazaar, Ameerpet and Dilsukhnagar, there is usually no shopping on Navami.
Fruit and flower markets that come along residential clusters and main roads have been trading, but many argue that this is not the same as in previous years. "We have had less supply to sell because of the situation," says a flower seller at Koti. At the temples, long queues of vehicles for worship on the day of Arms Worship are not visible, many employers worship at their residences. A priest in a temple in Gachibowli said: "Some people may come tomorrow for their vehicles for puja." Many people plan to buy a new vehicle on Navratri and worship on Navami.
However, a large number of devotees came to the goddess. We strictly follow the Covid-19 rules while allowing devotees. We only allow masks. It is not only at temples but also in the workshops of TSRTC's depots and greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, where there is no common festive atmosphere. Shopping for dresses for the festival was also affected due to the fear of coronavirus.
