The Telangana Governor, Tamilisai Soundararajan, has given her approval to the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (Absorption of Employees into Government Service) Bill 2023, as stated in an official announcement. This decision comes after a thorough examination of the government's actions in response to her ten recommendations, which were made in consideration of employee concerns and the overall well-being of the corporation. The Governor is content that these recommendations have been diligently addressed.

In light of this development, Governor Soundararajan has conveyed her heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all TSRTC employees as they transition into their new roles as government employees.

Back in August, the Telangana Governor sought legal advice from the Law Secretary regarding the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (Absorption of Employees into Government Service) Bill-2023 and four other bills passed by the state Assembly. This practice is in accordance with the relevant rules.

The Governor, while allowing the introduction of the TSRTC Bill of 2023 in the Assembly, had formulated ten recommendations. These recommendations were carefully crafted to safeguard the interests of the employees and the overall welfare of the corporation. As a financial bill, the TSRTC bill required prior approval from the Governor before its introduction in the Assembly. The bill's objective is to merge the State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) with the government, and it had recently received approval from the Telangana cabinet.
