Hyderabad: A presiding judge of the Te Langana High Court passed away in a private hospital here in the early hours of Monday. Officials and sources said Justice P Keshav Rao (60) was admitted to the hospital a week ago and was undergoing treatment for brain tumors and other diseases. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
According to a release issued by the Chief Minister's Office, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao has condoled the passing away of Justice Keshav Rao. CM KCR recalled the legal services rendered to the poor by Justice Keshav Rao as a judge. Rao expressed his condolences to the bereaved family members. CM KCR directed the officials to cremate Justice Keshav Rao with full state honors.
The high court and subordinate courts in Telangana were adjourned on Monday in honor of Justice Keshav Rao. Justice Keshav Rao received a law degree from Kakatiya University in 1986 and joined the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh in April 1986. He represented undivided Andhra Pradesh as a public prosecutor. In March 2010, he was appointed special public prosecutor of the CBI and continued in the post till April 2016.
