Hyderabad: A case of mistreatment of a 10-year-old child at the Darul Uloom Seminary in Hyderabad, Telangana has come to light. The accused is 25-year-old Shoaib Akhtar, who teaches Arabic in the madrasa. He has been arrested. According to the report, the matter came to light when the child had been complaining of pain continuously for the past several days. The family members were also shocked to see his wounds and blood.

According to the media report, on the night of Sunday, February 7, 2022, the family members of the child felt that their child was moaning in pain. When they inquired, the child told that Shoaib Akhtar had been forcing him for 10 days. After this, the family members of the child and some locals surrounded the madrasa. The accused Maulana was arrested after a medical examination. According to the police, the victim was admitted to the madrasa two months ago.

In November last year, a minor girl studying in a madrasa hostel at Silvassa in Dadra Nagar Haveli had accused the cleric of raping her in the hostel itself.
