6 dead bodies found during rescue operation in Srisailam Hydel power plant

Hyderabad: A fire broke out in Telangana's Srisailam Hydel Power Plant last night. Since then, the rescue operation is going on. 6 corpses have been recovered from the plant so far. It is believed that 9 workers were trapped inside the power plant, out of which 6 have been found dead. Now there are three people left, the search for all three is going on at this time. Apart from this, the investigation has also started in this case. An officer said that there was a blast in the Telangana government's underground power plant on Thursday night. After this, there was a fire.

He has predicted that 9 workers were trapped in the plant during the blast. Since then, the rescue operation is going on till now. So far 6 corpses have been recovered from the power plant and search is on for the remaining three. Telangana Energy Minister Jagdish Reddy spoke on Friday morning. He said, "30 workers were in the plant in Srisailam when the blast happened on Thursday night. 15 people got out through a tunnel and the other six labourers were rescued. 9 workers were trapped. A rescue operation is going on in search of these people".

Apart from this, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) rescue team is conducting a rescue operation at the Srisailam Hydel Power Plant located in a river dam about 220 km (140 mi) south of the state capital Hyderabad. The reason behind the fire in the plant has been ascertained.
