Bhopal: 48 hours before Nautapa on Saturday, the entire state was suffering from scorching heat. The mercury in the state capital has been around 43.8 degrees, down from 44 degrees. It was 3 degrees above normal while it reached 46.1 degrees in Naigaon. It has been ranked 5th among the 10 hottest cities in the country.

Senior mass scientists AK Shukla and PK Saha said that seven districts and towns in Gwalior, Chhatarpur, Guna, Rewa, Sidhi, Khargain, Khandwa district and Chambal divisions have been affected by the heat. From Sunday for three-four days, most of the divisions of the state, including Bhopal, are seen moving in the heat. Temperature is going to increase further in Bhapel division.

Let us tell you that Saturday has been the hottest day of the season in Bhopal. The city was very hot from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm. The mercury was also at 38.6 degrees at 7:30 pm. Friday night was also the highest in the season. However, the night temperature was recorded at 28.7 degrees.
