Betul: A passenger bus collided head-on with a truck near Sasundra village on the Betul-Sawner National Highway 47 here. The accident took place around 3 am on the intervening night of Wednesday-Thursday. In this accident, 40 passengers in the bus were injured, out of which the condition of 10 is said to be critical.  

According to the news received, bus number MP04 PA 3652 going from Bhopal to Balaghat collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction. After the collision, the truck climbed on the divider. The front portion of the bus was damaged in the collision and the driver was stuck in the seat, he was taken out with great difficulty and admitted to the hospital. The injured persons have been admitted to the district hospital and community health center in Multai with the help of 108.

The deceased have been identified as Anish (45), a resident of Bhopal, Prakash (30), Nidhi (35), his daughter Kalyan Rana (25) of Balaghat, Shashi (47) of Bhopal, Himanshi (24) of Chhindwara, Chetna (20) of Seoni, Lavlesh (31) of Seoni. Devesh (18), a resident of Seoni, Kamlesh Surendra (42) of Bhopal, Shraddha (29) resident of Balaghat, and others were injured.
