SRINAGAR: Security Forces have busted a terror module in Jammu Kashmir's Baramulla and arrested two terrorist associates of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), police said. 2 terrorist associates linked with proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba were detained in the Pattan area of North Kashmir's Baramulla district, and a 2-kg IED was recovered from them along with other arms and ammunition.
The two have been identified as Chinkipora, Sopore resident Saima Bashir and Par Mohalla, Pattan resident Farooq Ahmad Parra. They have been taken to the police station, where they are still being held, according to the police.
Upon their revelation, weapons and ammunition were found, including an IED (weighing around 2 kg), a pistol, two pistol magazines, five pistol rounds, a remote control, and other incriminating items.
The apprehended pair admitted during their initial interrogation that they were acting as terrorist associates for active terrorist Abid Qayoom Lone of Wussan Pattan, who is connected to the LeT-designated terrorist organisation, police said.
