Jammu: Terrorists have once again attacked Jammu and Kashmir. In Rajouri, terrorists have launched a grenade attack on the BJP Mandal president's house. Five persons were injured in the attack and have been admitted for treatment at Rajouri District Hospital. One child died there. Earlier on Thursday, terrorists attacked the BSF's convoy at Mir Bazar in the Qazigund area of Kulgam. However, no injuries were reported in the attack.
Gunfire was also heard in the Malpora area of South Kashmir's Anantnag district. In the Kulgam district, three persons including a security guard were injured in an encounter between terrorists and security forces after firing on a convoy of BSF. Officials said that 'the BSF convoy was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu when they were attacked.'
A police spokesman said no one was injured in the attack and the terrorists were later cordoned off. Officials said an encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists after evacuating civilians from the area. He said, one CRPF jawan was injured in intermittent firing between the two sides. According to officials, two civilians who sustained bullet injuries have been admitted to a hospital in Anantnag.
