New Delhi: Tensions seem to be rising once again in the Middle East. According to media reports, several rockets have been fired from southern Lebanon towards Israel. According to the report, the rocket attack has been taken responsibility by the Iranian-backed terror group Hezbollah. The Israeli army says it launched a counter-offensive against the rocket attack from Lebanon. Earlier on August 4, rockets were fired from Lebanon into Israel.
According to media reports, the Lebanese terror group Hezbollah has said it has fired rockets at the Lebanese border with Israel. According to Hezbollah's statement, dozens of rockets have been launched into the open field of the disputed Israeli-controlled Elaqe Sheba Farms. There are no reports of any loss of life or property so far. The Lebanese Army says the rocket firing from southern Lebanon is yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile, Israeli PM Naftali Bennett's office tweeted that the PM has been informed about what happened on the northern border. The Israeli PM will speak to the Defence Minister in the next few hours.
The Israeli army has said that at least 10 rockets from Lebanon have been fired into Israeli territory. The Israeli army says most of the rockets were neutralized midway from the Iron Dome and the remaining rockets have fallen into the open field.
