Srinagar: Terrorists have now made Improvised Explosive Device (IED) their new weapon in the Kashmir Valley. A fugitive and police constable is training them to make IEDs. Terrorists are also preparing to use IEDs made from gas cylinders to attack security forces. The massive crackdown by the security forces in the past two years has created a stir among the terrorists.
Not only have all the top commanders of the terrorists been killed in the operation, but they have also been heavily slashed by weapons. In these circumstances, he is not in a position to directly account with the security forces, so he is now making the IED his main weapon. A few days ago, IEDs placed in cars were used to attack 44 Rashtriya Rifles in South Kashmir's Pulwama.
Two soldiers were killed in the attack, but the driver's vigil saved the lives of the other 10 soldiers. According to intelligence agencies, the militants are planning an IED attack on the Dudsur-Avantipura-Pulwama road. This route also carries the movement of trains by the security forces.
