Pulwama : In a massive terrorist attack, at least 44 CRPF jawans were killed on Thursday evening in Pulwama district's Awantipora town. Union Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday condemned the dastardly attack on CRPF convoy in the minister.
Arun Jitley took to Twitter and wrote,” Attack on CRPF in Pulwama, J&K is a cowardice & condemnable act of terrorists. Nation salutes martyred soldiers and we all stand united with families of martyrs. We pray for speedy recovery of the injured. Terrorists will be given an unforgettable lesson for their heinous act.”
At least 30 CRPF personnel were injured and another 40 were injured when terrorists rammed a Mahindra Scorpio laden with explosives into a convoy of CRPF vehicles at Awantipora in Jammu & Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) claimed the responsibility for the attack. JeM in a statement identified Adil Ahmad Dar as the suicide bomber who carried out the attack. Jaish released a video of Ahmad Dar alias Waqas Commando of Gundibagh, Kakpora, shortly after the attack. With Jaish flags in the background, the terrorist can be heard speaking about the atrocities in Kashmir in the video.
PM Modi also condemn the attack nd said in a statement on Twitter. “Attack on CRPF personnel in Pulwama is despicable. I strongly condemn this dastardly attack. The sacrifices of our brave security personnel shall not go in vain. The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of the brave martyrs. May the injured recover quickly,”
