USA: 3,470 model Yurations sold in the US have been called back by EV manufacturer Tesla located in the US. The automeker took this action to solve a problem with loose bolts with second row seatbacks on vehicles made in 2022 and 2023.

The problem was discovered from December through five warranty claims, the company informed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

One of the world's largest EV manufacturers is Elon Musk's Tesla. Critics see the company as setting standard in both high-demonstrations and mass market EV segment.

However, the automaker is currently investigating for many problems related to life-threatening accidents brought by its products. The latest "loose bolt" problem may have even greater impact on the reputation of the automaker.

Tesla claims that 3,470 units of models Y EV, manufactured in 2022 and 2023 for the US market, may be a problem with Bolt holding the second line seatback, Tesla claims.

According to NHTSA, a loose seat frame can spoil the effectiveness of the bolt seat belt system, which increases the chances of fatal injuries during the collision.
