There are many deadly batsmen and bowlers present in the cricket world today. But in today's time, some important early records of cricket have been forgotten and we will tell you about some such interesting records.
First double, triple century and 400 runs in Test
Cricket today is played in a total of three format tests, ODIs and T20s. But the first and oldest format of cricket is test. Test cricket started in 1877. The first double century in Test cricket was seen in the year 1884. Australian batsman Billy Murdock scored the first double century of Test cricket history against England. Talking of the first third century in the Test, this feat was done by Andy Sandham. 325 runs were scored by Sandham against the West Indies. Now talk about 400 runs, so far this feat has happened only once in the history of Test cricket. In 2004, West Indian great batsman Brian Lara scored an unbeaten 400 in 582 balls against England. Since then, no other batsman has reached this figure.
First double century in ODIs
The great Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar, who was called the 'Lord of Cricket' and had an indelible identity with names like Master-Blaster, was the first to score a double century in a limited-overs format. In 2010, Sachin had unbeaten 200 runs against South Africa in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. After him, batsmen like Virender Sehwag, Rohit Sharma, Chris Gayle and Martin Guptill also repeated this feat in ODIs.
First-century in international T20
The first century in the International T20 was scored in 2007 by Chris Gayle playing against South Africa.
