New Delhi: The 2023 Vitpilen 901 will be unveiled by Husqvarna Motorcycles for international markets. In the most recent development, a vehicle mule that was almost ready for production was spotted conducting test drives despite being camouflaged.

Once it is released, it will signal the Swedish bikemaker's return to the large-capacity streetfighter category. The motorcycle will run on an 899cc parallel-twin engine from KTM.

Over 90 years of racing in competitions like the World Enduro Championship, Dakar Rally, Moto2, and Moto3 have given Husqvarna Motorcycles a storied past. The company has a strong presence in Europe.

Following the ownership change to KTM in 2013, the bike manufacturer began to diversify its product line with more street-oriented options like Vitpilen and Svartpilen.

It is anticipated that the Husqvarna Vitpilen 901 will adopt the design aesthetic of its younger sibling, the Vitpilen 401. It will have a tapered tail section, a sleek LED taillamp, a tapered fuel tank, a wide handlebar, a metallic bash plate, split-style seats, a side-mounted exhaust, and a circular LED headlamp. Designer alloy wheels will be used for the motorcycle.

The Husqvarna Vitpilen 901 in 2023 will feature disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, dual-channel ABS, and numerous electronic riding aids like traction control, cruise control, ride-by-wire throttle, and riding modes for the rider's safety.

Inverted front forks and an adjustable monoshock unit at the back would take care of the suspension duties.

The Husqvarna Vitpilen 901's 899cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine from KTM will produce a maximum of 121 horsepower and a maximum torque of 99 Nm. Most likely, a 6-speed gearbox with a PASC anti-hopping clutch would be used with the engine.

Husqvarna Motorcycles is anticipated to soon announce the 2023 Vitpilen 901's pricing and availability information. The streetfighter motorcycle is anticipated to arrive first in Europe.
