Many times Director SS Rajamouli found himself in the middle of unexpected controversies. But this morning the ace director launched a fundraising drive for Devika, a lady who served as the coordinator for several of Baahubali's post-production projects. Devika is also a single mother of two children.
"Her devotion and enthusiasm are unmatched. She is, unfortunately, suffering blood cancer. "I respectfully urge that you send monies to the Ketto Campaign linked below," Rajamouli wrote. The total cost of the campaign was USD 400000, or Rs 2.91 crore.
About 64% of the target has been achieved. But then there was Rajamouli, who got a lot of criticism as well. Many people are defaming the filmmaker by claiming that he is one of India's highest-paid directors and that he can easily pay the whole amount. Instead, he turned to the internet for help.
They are requesting that he not be Kanjoos. While we don't want to pass judgement, we can say that Rajamouli did at least assist her by giving the link. It was difficult for many small people, such as Devika, to contact the filmmakers after the film was completed. With Rajamouli's support, the target will be easily met. Rajamouli deserves credit for it!
